Cricket Cranes’ All Rounder Alpesh Ramjani has become the first Ugandan player to feature in a franchise tournament by signing for the Chitwan Rhinos in the Nepal Premier League.
Alpesh gets an opportunity to showcase his skills against some of the best players in associate cricket in the second season of the Nepal Premier League.
The Chitwan Rhinos are led by Nepal superstar batter Kushal Mal, with former England batter Ravi Bopara and former Pakistan bowler Sohail Tanvir also part of the side.
The Chitwan Rhinos reached the eliminator stage last season before being eliminated by the Karnali Yaks.
Ramjani has seen his stock rise since he was named to the 2023 T20 World Team of the Year. He then featured for the Cricket Cranes at the 2024 T20 World Cup in the West Indies. His exploits with both bat and ball have made him a valuable asset for the Cricket Cranes. He is comfortable bowling inside the power play and can also bowl in the middle overs, while he is a handy middle-order batter who loves to accumulate runs.
The second edition of the Nepal Premier League will run from November 17th to December 13th. The tournament will feature eight franchise teams and will play 32 matches.
