- Entebbe UPPC vs Vipers – Bugonga Fisheries Ground 4pm
- Mbarara City vs NEC – Rwamwanje stadium, Kamwenge 4pm
Following an abysmal start to the season, NEC will be desperate to get off the mark when they travel to the west to face equally desperate Mbarara City in Kamwenge.
Two draws and a defeat have left last season’s runners up languishing closer to the relegation zone with just two points and must get off the mark sooner rather than later.
This will mark the second game since the suspension of Hussein Mbalangu and that keeps James Odoch in charge as the boss albeit on interim.
Odoch knows the weight of the clash against the Ankole Lions but says the mood in camp is positive and a win is the target.
“The boys have responded well since the last game and ready to get off the mark,” he told the club media.
Meanwhile, Mbarara City are also yet to win a game this season losing twice and drawing as many.
And they will have to dig deeper against NEC, a side they have lost to in all meetings in the premier league.
Elsewhere on the day, champions Vipers visit Entebbe UPPC at Bugonga in their first season game.
