T20 Semifinal Results
- Aboojo 94/3 defeated GM Sugar 73/5 won by 21 runs
- Ismaili CC 121 all out defeated Avengers 109/7 by 12 runs
Aboojo will be chasing their first local silverware in the final of the T20 League against Division 2 side Ismaili Community Cricket.
In a repeat of the finals line-up last year, a Division 2 Ismaili CC team will be taking on a Division 1 side Aboojo CC.
Aboojo overcame favourite GM Sugar in a short game at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe. Cricket Cranes all rounder Pascal Murungi was the star with a match-winning half-century of 57 runs off 26, defeating the favourites.
Aboojo is deserving of a place in the final for their enterprising style of play.
In the other semifinal, Avengers couldn’t get past Ismaili Cricket Community which was supported by Cricket Cranes Captain Riazat Ali Shah. The Division 2 side scored just enough runs for them to make their maiden final.
Aboojo will go into the final as favourites due to their experience but they will not have everything their way against Ismaili who will have one of the best T20 players, Riazat Ali Shah, in their line-up.
The final of the UG20 will be played over the weekend at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe to conclude the local season.
