She Maroons ended Kampala Queens’ unbeaten run in the ongoing 2025-26 FUFA Women’s Super League campaign.
She Maroons secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against Kampala Queens in the FWSL encounter at Luzira on Saturday morning.
Darren Nakayiwa and Lillian Kasuubo were on the scoresheet as Maroons picked their third victory of the campaign.
Despite both sides keeping on the front foot the opening stanza ended goalless. It was a sad mood as She Maroons mourned Fausta Nalugwa.
Nakayiwa broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute after finding the back of the net thanks to an electric solo run that saw her pierce through the visitors.
Ten minutes later, Lillian Kasuubo doubled She Maroons’ lead with a great strike from the spot as they comfortably cruised to the driving seat.
The victory takes She Maroons to the sixth position with 11 points while Kampala Queens remain second on the log after eight games played.
