Ivorian centre back Serge Pascal Wawa has labeled George ‘Best’ Nsimbe tactically astute following the few training sessions he has had with the team.
Wawa; a new signing from Sudan’s El Merriekh is part of the Azam squad currently in Uganda ahead of the four warm up games following a break in the Tanzania league.
“Nsimbe is a very good coach,” Wawa told Kawowo Sports in the aftermath of Azam’s training session at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo. “He is tactically astute and a good man manager from what I have so far observed,” he added.
On why he joined Azam, the big centre back said; “I wanted a new challenge. I have played in Sudan for four years. Besides, Azam gave me a good offer.”
Wawa also revealed he signed a one year deal with the Tanzania Vodacom Premier League champions because he already has a deal in Europe after that year but says he wants to win everything at Azam.
We want to retain the league, win Kagame Cup and also reach the group stages of CAF Champions League and am here ready to play my part as a player.
