CAF U-15 Schools’ football championship (CECAFA Zone qualifiers 2025):
Boys:
- Uganda 9-0 Djibouti
- South Sudan 2-1 Rwanda
- Rwanda 0-0 Tanzania
Girls:
- Uganda 2-1 Burundi
- Djibouti 0-6 Tanzania
Uganda started brilliantly in the CAF U-15 schools’ football championship with a 9-0 comprehensive victory over Djibouti (in boys) at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Nabir Kajjumba led the assault with a hat-trick. Lucky Wanyama added a brace before a goal apiece from Livingston Kulata, Henry Muhoozi, Owen Mukisa and Nicholas Kawooya completed the goals’ galore.
Uganda boys’ team is constituted of players from St Mary’s Kitende.
In their second game of the day, Uganda was due to take on Kenya.


South Sudan edged Rwanda 2-1 in the subsequent match before Rwanda and Tanzania settled for a goal-less draw.
For the girls, Uganda (Kawempe Muslim SS) out-witted Burundi 2-1 at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium in Mengo.
Uganda fell to a goal from Chantal Nitibitanga in the 17th minute before forcing the equalizer by Lydia Nameseruja in the 24th minute.
Two minutes later, Grace Kawino gave Uganda the lead which they guarded until the climax of the game before the Rwanda clash.
Djibouti also suffered a heart-breaking 0-6 loss to Tanzania in the other game played in Mengo.
