Entebbe UPPC secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against Express in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Bugonga Fisheries playground on Thursday evening.

Noordin Bunjo and Ambros Kigozi were on target as The Printers secured maximum points on the day.

Ambrose Kigozi gets a free header in the area but failed to capitalise on the open opportunity in the seventh minute.

Richard Basangwa nearly gave the Red Eagles the lead in the 15th minute but his effort went slightly wide of the target.

In the 42nd minute, Steven Munguchi drove the ball from the left flank but his long-range effort was begging as the host kept knocking on the door.

Bunjo broke the deadlock in the 56th minute after being set up by Samuel Kawawa in a great team attack.

John Assiimwe had a great chance to level matters but his weak right-footed effort was well saved by Rogers Omedwa two minutes to the hour mark.

Kigozi doubled the hosts’ after Isa Bugembe set him up in the 73rd minute.

The victory takes UPPC in the fifth position with 17 points while Express lie in the eighth position with 12 points after 10 games.
