It was history in the making for Kitara Football Club forward Isaac Amutuhaire after he scored the first ever goal at the newly constructed Hoima City Stadium.
The goal inspired Kitara to a slim 1-0 victory over Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club.
The former Mbarara Sports Academy and Kigezi Home Boyz player is super excited having achieved the feat.

“I am very humbled having scored the first ever goal at the Hoima City Stadium. I want this goal to inspire me to many more goals in my career” Amutuhaire remarked.
He dedicated this special goal to the beloved mother, Peace Katusiime, the two sisters Afusa Ainebyoona and Asiah Abigaba as well as the Kitara head coach Richard Wasswa Bbosa.

Amutuhaire is humbled for the Kitara Football Club management supportive hand as well as the teamwork from the fellow players.
Sadly, Amutuhaire suffered an injury in training and will most likely be sidelined for the rest of the 2025-2026 season.

For starters, the Hoima City Stadium is one of the facilities prepared by the Government of Uganda for the PAMOJA AFCON 2027 that will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
Mandela National Stadium, Hoima City Stadium and Akii Bua Stadium in Lira are the three mian stadia that Uganda has presented.
