Express secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory against Buhimba United in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo on Saturday.
Express came out of their blocks early but lacked the sharpness to break through the final third.
Express broke the deadlock in the 21st minute after Mikidadi Ssenyonga verociously powered the ball into the back of the net.
Four minutes later, Buhimba United levelled matters through Edson Agondeze after connecting with Solomon Akodi’s well-taken corner.
John Asiimwe regained the hosts’ lead through a half-volley after being setup by Mikidadi in the 27th minute.
Hakim Wandera nearly extended Express’ lead through a freekick in a promising area but Buhimba United’s goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba made a big save.
Henry Wamala found the Red Eagles’ third as the hosts rounded off the day in spectacular fashion.
The victory takes Express in the 10th position with 15 points while Buhimba United lie 11th with 13 points in as many games.
