- Maroons Vs Kumi United – Maroons stadium, Luzira (3:00 PM)
The Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 games continue on Thursday, 26th February 2026 with two matches.
In a contest of two Uganda Premier League clubs; UPDF takes on NEC at the Bombo Barracks grounds.
Under Alex Gitta, UPDF will look to build upon the home advantage in a contest against a formidable opposition NEC who are coached by Badru Kaddu Mukasa.
The experienced legs and leadership of Bernard Muwanga coupled with the promising budding talent of Enrique Lubwama will be UPDF’s key weapons on the day.
NEC looks to the prowess of Hannington Ssebwalunyo in goal, the command of Ibrahim Kiyemba at the back, Joseph Sseremba and Pius Obuya in central midfield and the quest for goals by Richard Basangwa upfront.
Another top flight side Maroons shall face regional entity Kumi United at the Maroons stadium in Luzira.
Kick off time for these two matches is 3:00 PM.
The successful two clubs will advance to the round of 16 stage to join the rest of the qualified clubs.
So far, a number of clubs have progressed to the round of 16 level including holders Vipers, Express, Sports Club Villa, Kitara, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Red Devo, Onduparaka, Happy Boys Kagaba and Iganga United.
The Uganda Cup competition has been played since 1971.
The Stanbic Uganda Cup winner earns a ticket to represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.
