Uganda’s top-notch safety and security stadium expert Dixon Adol “Bond” Okello continues to drastically ascend the horizon.
Okello, a FIFA and CAF certified stadium safety and security officer has now acquired the Sport Safety and Security Specialist certification.
This was acquired organized by the United Nations Institute For Training and Research (UNITR), International Centre For Sport Security (ICSS), Confederation of African Football (CAF) and CIFAL Malaga.
Okello is overwhelmed for having attained such a certification which makes him the 7th African with such a qualification.
“I am humbled for the latest achievement attained. Special appreciation to all who have been supportive to me. I say No Fitina.” Okello who has officiated at high profile FIFA and CAF tournaments remarked.

It entailed rich modules as sport safety and security fundamentals, sport safety and security planning, major sporting event safety and security, threat and risk assessments, pandemic safety and security planning, physical safety and security mitigation measures, technical safety and security mitigation measures, operational safety and security mitigation measures, incident response and crisis management, command and control, crowd management, venue safe capacity as well as sport for sustainable development in safety and security.
Back in his native country Uganda, Okello has organized a number of domestic workshops to train stadium stewards as he freely passes on the skills acquired to the rest of the people.
