The Federation of Rwanda Football Associations (FWERWAFA) has re-appointed Stephen Constantine as the new head coach for the Senior Men’s National Team (Amavubi Stars) and the U23 Team.

Constantine, 63 years, will take charge of the Rwanda National Team on a two-year deal making his return to the East African nation.

“The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has appointed Stephen Constantine as the Head Coach of the Rwanda Senior Men National Football Team (Amavubi) and the Rwanda U-23 National Team on a two-year renewable contract. His appointment reflects Rwanda’s continued commitment to strengthening football structures and achieving excellence on the continental and global stage,” reads a statement from FERWAFA.

Constantine first took charge of Rwanda in May 2014, but his stay lasted only seven months before moving to India.

He has also coached other teams like Malawi, Sudan, Nepal and most recently Pakistan, where he was last year.
