KCC FC 2-0 Simba
Reigning league champions KCC FC go top of the Uganda Premier League thanks to a 2-0 victory over visitors Simba SC at Phillip Omondi stadium.
Following a barren but entertaining first half, it took KCC FC ten minutes to take the lead thanks to Herman Wasswa’s goal. The striker tapped home from close range after Tom Masiko headed into his path a Michael Birungi pass.

The hosts were unfortunate not to double their lead five minutes later when Birungi failed to control and shoot with only the goalkeeper to beat after Wasswa had played him through.
KCC FC were in ascendancy but the army side held on but only till the 87th minute when Derrick Nsibambi made it 2-0 with a well worked strike. It all started at the centre of the pitch when Isaac Ntege beat his man and passed to Owen Kasule who released Mucureezi down the right and the number 14 cutback found Nsibambi thanks to a dummy by Masiko inside the area.

The 2-0 win means KCC FC now go top of the log on goals scored despite sharing same points and goal difference as SC Villa.

We gave our best but we failed to capitalize on the few chances we created. Nevertheless, we remain positive ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
