Elyon Volleyball Club levelled series against Nemostars Volleyball Club in the 2026 National Volleyball League playoffs.
Elyon secured a well-deserved 3-0 victory against Nemostars in game two of the semifinal NVL Playoffs at the Old Kampala Arena on Sunday.
Nemostars came into this game requiring a victory to seal a spot in the finals of the ongoing men’s finals but failed at the assignment.
Elyon came out of the blocks early and launched a fight to avoid elimination in two games. The youngsters were clinical thus staging a perfect show on the day.
Elyon was too hot for Nemostars’ block and pierced through it thanks to brothers William Opoya and Silver Owino who showcased different kinds of hits.
It was and end to end frame but the energetic and youthful side run away with the set winning 25-20.
In the second set, it was a one-man show as Opoya pierced through the blocks with diagonal powerful hits thus sending the public onto their feet.
Nemostars’ Bernard Malinga tried to launch their layer fight but it was not enough on the day.
The victory sets up a mouthwatering game three to decide whether to move on to the final of the ongoing Playoffs.
