Joseph Cwinya-ai won the Entebbe leg in the elite gross category of the 2026 Pearl Of Africa Golf series played at the lake-side 1901 golfing facility.

The reigning Uganda Amateur Open champion scored a total of 210 gross (-3) in 54 holes played over three rounds.

He bossed the rest of the field right from round one with 3-under-68, improving to 4-under 67 and winded up the business with +4 (75) during round three to claim the trophy and the biggest percentage of the Ug.Shs 5,000,000 prize money where he pocketed Ug.Shs 1,500,000.

In total, Cwinya-ai scored 13 birdies, 32 pars, 8 bogies and 1 double bogie.

In second place was Abdullah Kakooza (72, 72 and 71) for a combined 215 gross.

The duo of Reagan Joseph Akena and Juma Abiti, two Lugazi bred players tied in third place with 217 gross.

Meanwhile, Joseph Kasozi and Andrew Ssekibejja were joint 5th with 218 to partake on the prize money.

Grace Kasango leads the professionals after the two rounds played on Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Kasango played 4-under-68 on round one, followed by 3-under-69 during round two.

He is followed by Ronald Rugumayo (70 and 69) as the duo of Tadeo Rodell Gaita and Davis Kato are tied on 140 gross apiece.
