The East Africa Table Tennis defending champion Mbale Tigers are traveling to Kenya on Friday, set to defend their double T T tittles they won for both the boys and girls categories during the last season East Africa Table Tennis Championship held in Kenya.

This Two-day event to be staged in Thika Town from Saturday March 7th ending on Women’s day Sunday evening has invited Clubs from five countries to take part including Kenya the Host, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

Uganda is to be represented by five Table Tennis Clubs namely Mbale Tigers The Defending club, Photo Genix, Nakasero, Bett Suffers , Ndejje University.

Speaking to Jude Mutete the Mbale Tigers Coach, he said his side is well prepared to defend the two titles as his team-select has the current country Top Ranked National Table Tennis Players i.e

Chilbe Gilton Ranked No 1, Ivan wamusi top 3, Idi Mumbaraka top 11

and in the Girls category,

Top 2 Amina Namaganda, Top 3 Ludia Nadunga, Top 4 Seera Florence, top 7 Amina kibone,

Coach Jude Mutete added that this East Africa Table Tennis championship shall offer skill platform for his Mbale Tigers players Ivan Wamusi and Amina Kibone selected for Uganda University Table Tennis team that shall take part in the World University Games July 2015 and Qualifying yard stick into national team for All Africa games Congo Brazzaville August 2015
