MYDA Football Club maintained their dominance of the North East Regional League in the 2025-26 season.
The latest outing was a one-sided 5-0 victory on the road over Ateker Football Club in Moroto district on Monday, 11th May 2026.
Blaise Okia shone with a well-struck hattrick as skipper Masuudi Kafumbe and Abraham Alyong added a goal apiece.
Okia opened the scoring business as early as the 8th minute.
Kafumbe added the second goal in the 21st minute before Okia returned with his second in the 27th minute.
Okia completed his hat-trick three minutes before the mandatory half-time recess with his team’s fourth goal on the bright evening.
Alyong sealed the fate for Ateker with a goal coming six minutes before full-time.
This comprehensive victory comes days after that spirited 1-0 home win over TEPA with Bahmish Kapule on target at the dreaded Kongunga playground.
The earlier matchday had MYDA win 2-1 at Teso Warriors. Dangerman Eric Kamuhanda and captain Masuudi Kafumbe scored for MYDA in the 31st and 55th minutes respectively.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Ochan netted the consolation for Teso Warriors in the 73rd minute.
MYDA maintains their grip at the summit of the table standings with 56 points.
The former top-flight side remains focused towards regaining its mojo as the promotional play-offs loom.
