Match day two during the 2026 USSSA Boys football competition continued on Tuesday, 12th May at the various playgrounds in Lira city.
The reigning champions Buddo Secondary School recorded their second victory of the campaign in the 3-0 victory over Masindi SS at the Lira Town College playground during Group A duel.
Ambrose Aboy, Rahim Kato and Umar Katamba were on target for Buddo S.S.
Aboy headed home past goalkeeper Saidi Irumba for the opener in the 9th minute.
Kato added the second in the 33rd minute to establish a 2-0 lead by the half time break.
Katamba tapped home the rebound for the third goal off Lutalo Sepiriya’s free-kick deep in the second half.
This was the second victory for Buddo S.S as they make it six points to progress to the round of 32.
“We are glad for the second win and an improved performance. We still have another game to play in the group” Ssemakula Magulu, head coach for Buddo S.S remarked.
Kyadondo S.S also marched to the round of 32 with a game to play after a 2-0 victory over Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA) in Group E.

Joseph Kakooza and Bashir Edema were on target for Kyadondo S.S who had earlier on Monday also won
In the other group A contest, Teso College Aloet recorded their first win during the 1-0 victory over Kaserem S.S.
Elsewhere, Bwera S.S thumped Makobore High School 4-0 at the Dr Obote College playground in Boroboro during group C contest.
Huzaifah Mbuusa, Kennedy Isingoma, Bright Kajjuko and Thembo Rabson scored for Bwera S.S.
Agape S.S and Kicwamba High settled for a point in the 2-all draw.
In Group G, Ssingo overcame Mengo S.S 2-0 for the second win at the championship after Monday’s 3-0 triumph over Bishop Comboni College.
Tuesday morning’s other duel witnessed KaliIsizo Seed fall 1-2 to Kigumba Intensive at the Dr Obote College playground.
Action in the rest of the groups continues on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday will have the official opening ceremony for the tournament.
