Overview:
Sadam Bulega is a Bachelor of Science Degree holder in Marketing from Makerere University Business School (MUBS). He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Football Business at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona city, Spain. He also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from YMCA, Football Administration and Management training from FUFA, FIFA Digital Skills for Football Professionals, and Sport Administration and Sport Promotion training from JICA in Tokyo, Japan (2025).
Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) recently confirmed Sadam Bulega as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
A Bachelor of Science Degree holder in Marketing from Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Bulega is a vastly experienced sports marketer and administrator having served domestically and on the continent.

He comes to the secondary sports body with a wealth of experience having served at the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for close to a decade and lately at the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF).
Bulega’s tenure at FUFA witnessed him serve in different marketing roles as Marketing Assistant, Acting Marketing Director, and Brand Manager.
He served on key football properties and events, including the Uganda Cranes, FUFA Awards, FUFA Drum, FUFA Women Super League, and other FUFA football competitions and activities.

Bulega served as the Venue Marketing Manger during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco and the CAF women’s championship where he supported marketing operations, sponsor integration, brand visibility, and sponsor activation execution.
At USSSA, he is tasked to effect the body’s marketing, commercial strategy, sponsorship acquisition, sponsor servicing, brand management, digital marketing, stakeholder engagement, event commercialization and brand activation.
My focus at Uganda Sports Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) will be on driving brand growth, developing the sponsorship portfolio, strengthening digital marketing, improving partner value delivery, packaging commercial opportunities, enhancing fan engagement, and positioning school sports as a strong national youth sports platform.

For starters, Bulega is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Football Business at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona city, Spain.
He also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from YMCA, Football Administration and Management training from FUFA, FIFA Digital Skills for Football Professionals, and Sport Administration and Sport Promotion training from JICA in Tokyo, Japan (2025).
He is also equipped with Football Administration and Management training with a FAMACO III certificate.
USSSA organizes several district, regional and national sports competitions in football, basketball, swimming, dancesport, woodball, hockey, rugby, basketball, tennis, table tennis, badminton and other indoor sports disciplines.
They also take part in regional (FEASSA), continental and international (ISF) competitions.
Besides sports competitions, USSSA has been actively involved in different capacity building for building confident and competent sports leaders in management, refereeing, coaching as well as safeguarding of late.
