MEN: Skin Samona 22-17 Gals/Betway
WOMEN: Indigo 12-8 Gals/Betway
Skin Samona and Indigo pool clubs won the men and women club’s respective super cup titles at Lumas Pool Arena on Saturday.
Skin Samona men’s pool club overcame Gals/Betway 22-17. The star studded 2014 league and clubs knock out winners won both their sets 12-8 and 11-9.
Amos Ndyagumanawe, who clinched the 2015 Easter Cup master minded Samona’s victory, winning all his 8 frames.
We played with character and this victory at the beginning of the season gives us the impetus to plan for the season
Skin Samona new captain, Alfred ‘Black Sheep’ Gumikiriza, who took over Poulous Bisaaso remarked to Kawowo Sports.
Gals/Betway put up s atrong resistance – thanks to new signing, Navy Matovu (from Trust and Obey pool club) and Godfrey Ssetumba.
Women:

In the women category, Indigo, who have recently signed Vivian Kagoye (from Rock Catalina) and Tilda Nabbanja (from Lumas) easily beat Gals/Betway 12-8.
Indigo opened up with the first set with 10-2 before Gals/Betway, who started life without star player, Ritah Nimusima (transfered to Skina Samona) rallied back to force a 6 all draw in the second set.
Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) publicity secretary Michael Mawanda believes the super cup has played the curtain raising role expected and now teams are ready for the virgin 2015 season.
Teams are now ready and the league is expected to kick off next weekend with a high profile expected
