Uganda Cranes midfielder Taddeo Lwanga is set to join Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards.
After guiding Vipers to their eighth UPL title, Lwanga is close to completing a switch to the Kenyan giants.
Lwanga played 23 of the club’s 30 league games, proving a key figure he was in the team’s effort to clinch the league title.
Lwanga’s ability to halt the opponent’s play but also be in pole position to link the team’s defence to attack makes him a great addition.
Having finished second in the league, AFC Leopards is looking forward to improving its squad ahead of the highly anticipated campaign.
On the other hand, Vipers have hit the road to make a few changes in the squad, thus intensifying talks with KCCA midfielder Joel Sserunjogi.
Lwanga has previously played for Vipers SC, SC Villa, APR FC, Simba SC, and Tanta SC, among other clubs.
