Uganda U17 Women’s Football National Team booked a slot in the final of this year’s CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship after defeating Kenya in the semifinals on Sunday.

The Teen Cranes, who put up a dominant display, cruised to a 3-0 win to reach the final.

Shadia Nabirye and Immaculate Acen netted a goal each before Kenyan defender Jael Samiyu scored into her own net.

The victory was sweet revenge for Uganda against a team that eliminated them from the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers last month.

Uganda now awaits the winner of the match between hosts Tanzania and South Sudan to know their opponents in the final slated for Tuesday.
