Girls’ Football (Semifinals)

The two pending semifinals for the 2026 USSSA Girls Football championship that were not completed in Mukono were eventually held on Thursday, 2nd July, at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium (Wakisha Resource Centre).
Interestingly, both matches played ended in stalemates, and the outcomes were decided by shoot-outs.
During the first semi-final, Boni Consili Vocational Girls School from Western Uganda eliminated Wakiso District’s St Noa Girls Zana 3-2 in post-match penalties.
Normal time of this match had ended all square at two goals apiece.

St Noa Girls took the early lead through a well-executed free-kick by Martha Babirye for a 1-0 lead by the mandatory half-time break.
Boni Consili Vocational returned energized for the final stanza.
Peace Muduwa equalized for Boni Consili Vocational 15 minutes into the second half.
Four minutes later, Rinah Ariho doubled their lead before St Noa Girls levelled matters through substitute Evelyn Katusiime after a goal melee.
During the shoot-out, Boni Consili Vocational won 3-2.

For the subsequent semi-final, Rines S.S edged Amus College 3-0 in post-match penalties after normal time had ended goalless.
Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi, Halimah Mupyanga and Justine Ayeranga all scored past goalkeeper Elizabeth Ouma for Rines S.S.

Similarly, Amus College School missed the target through their three shooters: Vicky Atyeronimungu, Charity Katusiime and Modesta Odera.
“I salute my players for the spirited performance. We were solid and played as a unit throughout. We have 90 minutes to make history and lift the trophy,” Bright Nyanzi, head coach of Rines S.S., stated.

Final day action:
On Friday, 3rd July 2026, Amus College and St Noa face off in the bronze medal match at 9 AM.
The final will come shortly after between Boni Consili Vocational and Rines S.S.
All four schools have already booked their berths to the FEASSSA Games due in Morogoro, Tanzania.
