All is set for the second edition of the Kinaawa High School, Kyengera Mugongo campus old students sports gala.
This will be happening on Sunday, 27th September 2026 at the school main campus playground under the theme “Celebrating talent, building character & creating opportunities”.
“The purpose of this gala is to unite the former students that passed thru the main gates of this holistic academic institution with the current students” Hajjati Aisha Nakakinde Matovu also school principal told the media.
Kinaawa High School has produced several of students who have become powerful personalities ever since it started.
Nakakinde lauded the former old boys & girls for organizing this year’s sports gala to share those great memories including the morning preps plus ‘canes’ for stubborn students.
According to Edris Katongole, the president of Kinaawa High School Old Students Association president, this year’s edition is more than action packed with lots of fun to different sports displines including volleyball, football and one of the newest games futsal.
“Come be prepared for the day and reconnect with the former students & create lasting memories plus strong bondage with current students & staff,” Badru Gumisiriza, also the chairman organizing committee stated during the press conference.
This year we have lots of goodies to give away to different color houses including Gadaffi house, Musoke house, Serugo house and Matovu house plus two cows to be won by the best color house.
This year’s sports gala is sponsored by several companies including Amaka coffee,Riham,Newmans,Hijab Nations,Hajjetex Ventures,Wise Up Tools,HBT Speakers,Freedom Properties,Hajjati Aisha Car Dealers and others.
ComediansMC Kalera, Comedian Maulana, Ali Muzungu and others graced the presser.
In the last sports edition, Gadaffi house walked away as the best color house and this time round, it’s more than tight for the Gadaffi to take the day’s trophy, hinted Ssonko Duncan also KHOSA Speaker.
