Frank Aluma’s late strike in the 70th minute broke the deadlock for Lake Victoria Hotel who where hosting Aviation Police (AVPOL) in the Entebbe Airport Stake holders football League.

The first 45 minutes ended with neither side seeing the back of the net though Lake Victoria Hotel missed several shots on goal and kept piling pressure on Police who were in poor form.

Lake Victoria Hotel continued to dominate the second half until when Aluma fired past goal keeper Sam Ariku to give his side a 1-0 lead.

Police’s efforts to grab an equalizer proved futile after goal keeper Mark Balayo saved all their shots.

This is Police’s second straight loss after losing to Protea Hotel to the same result in their opening match.

Lake Victoria Hotel who where in magnificent form beat Protea Hotel 2-0 and were also held to a goalless draw by Uganda People’s Defence Airforce (UPDAF) in their two opening matches.

The match between ENHAS and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday did not take place because the former had not come with a playing jersey.

As it starts, CAA will most likely be awarded the 3 goals and 3 points by the committee.

Upcoming Matches: Police will take on SFC on Wednesday June 10 and thereafter SFC will host Lake Victoria Hotel on Tuesday June 16.
