Gomba Ssaza players celebrate one of their three goals against Buddu at Kabulasoke PTC grounds

Quarterfinals (1st Leg Results)

  • Gomba 3-0 Buddu
  • Mawogola 1-2 Kyaggwe
  • Busujju 1-0 Butambala
  • Bugerere 0-0 Kyaddondo

The first legs of the quarterfinals for the 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup were played on Sunday, 13th September, at various venues.

Record champions Gomba, Busujju and Kyaggwe all recorded victories in their contests.

Gomba humbled visiting Buddu 3-0 at the Kabulasoke PTC grounds. Muhammed Kasule, Alfred Ssebunya and Hassan Waiswa were on target for Gomba, a side coached by Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza.

Kyaggwe won 2-1 away to Mawogola in Ssembabule. David Mugalu and Lauben Lubwama were on target for Kyaggwe, while Asuman Ssenono pulled the consolation for Mawogola.

Busujju edged Butambala 1-0 courtesy of Michael Abura’s goal at the Kakindu playground.

The contest between Bugerere and Kyadondo at Ntenjeru Ssaza grounds produced no goals for any of the two sides.

The return legs will be played on Sunday, 20th September 2026.

Buddu shall host Gomba at the Kitovu Sports Arena in Masaka, whilst Kyaggwe entertains Mawogola at the Bishops SS playground in Mukono.

The other two return legs have Kyaddondo at home against Bugerere, and Butambala hosting Busujju in Kibibi.

The four successful teams will march to the semifinals to be played over two legs ahead of the grand finale at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
