After exiting the Caf Champions League at the preliminary round, Uganda Premier league champions Vipers turn focus to league defence starting with a fixture against newly promoted Ntugasaze.

The Venoms were eliminated by Mauritania’s Nouadhibou and started the league with a 1-0 defeat to Entebbe UPPC.

Against the Brewers, Vipers will be favourites but enter the match with their confidence at the lowest after failure to win any of their last three outings in all competitions (L1, D2].

Denis Lavagne will have to make a decision on who start between experienced forward Ceaser Lobi Manzoki and youngster Gusto Mulongo who is yet to open his account this season.

There are also huge decisions to make in the middle of the pack where Joel Sserunjogi, Marvin Youngman, Karim Watambala and Farouk Miya are viable options.

Both teams remain without a point this season although Vipers have only played one game compared to Ntugasaze who have played two more; lost all, conceded 8 and scored only two.

This will be the first ever official meeting between the two sides and the fixture will conclude match day four before the international break comes in.
