St Noa Girls School head coach Rajab Mugweri has urged his side to stay grounded and push for further improvement after a hard-fought 1-0 win over She Corporate.
In a tightly contested encounter where margins were slim, St Noa held on to claim maximum points.
However, speaking after the game, Mugweri was quick to acknowledge both the efforts of his team and the stern challenge posed by their opponents.
“I want to thank the technical team and the players who gave in everything to ensure that we win this game,” Mugweri stated.
Despite the positive result, the tactician candidly admitted that the victory did not come through their preferred style of play, crediting She Corporate for pushing them to their limits.
“There is still much to improve because we hardly won with the style we preferred to. The opponent was tough, but we held on,” he added.
Rather than resting on their laurels, Mugweri emphasised that the squad will return to the training ground immediately to address the operational gaps identified during the match.
“We shall go back and work on our mistakes because as a team we want to improve so that we can attain our full potential,” he noted.
The 1-0 win provides St Noa with a crucial momentum boost, but Mugweri’s post-match assessment serves as a clear statement of intent, the team remains focused on refining their performance as they chase higher standards this season.
