Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) have officially completed the signing of former KCCA FC attacker Alex Yiga on a two-year contract.
The promising young winger completed his move to the Tax Collectors on deadline day of the transfer window, handing Head Coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera a major boost ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League campaign.
The deal was confirmed today, Wednesday, September 23, 2026, via the club’s official website.
“Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) is delighted to announce the signing of talented winger Alex Yiga on a two-year contract following his departure from KCCA FC,” the statement partly reads.
Yiga, an agile forward capable of operating across the wings and in advanced central positions, brings a dynamic mix of pace and creativity to URA’s frontline.
A product of the renowned KCCA FC Soccer Academy, Yiga broke into the Lugogo-based side’s senior squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
He first caught national attention during KCCA Junior Team’s triumph at the 2022 Cambiasso International Tournament in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, before starring for the Uganda Cubs (U-17) at the 2022 CECAFA U-17 Championship in Ethiopia, where the team claimed bronze.
Yiga continued his progression during the 2025/26 campaign, where he racked up 16 league appearances for KCCA FC and famously got on the scoresheet against Onduparaka in the Uganda Cup.
Known for his ability to use both feet, sharp dribbling, and willingness to take on defenders, Yiga adds vertical threat and vital versatility to Coach Kintu’s squad as the club continues to build a competitive roster for the upcoming season.
