International Build Up:
Malawi Vs Uganda – 6th July 2015
The newly named Malawi Flames care taker tactician, Ernest Mtawali has summoned 25 players in preparation for the July 6th build up fixture against Uganda.
Mtawali, who replaced the sacked Young Chimodzi takes care of the team for the first time.
Team skipper, Joseph Kamwendo, blamed for refusing being substituted in the team’s loss to Zimbabwe in the AFCON 2017 opener is one notable absentee on the team.
The team commences non residential training on Sunday, 28th June 2015 at the Chiwembe technical centre.
Two players playing professional football in Mozambique, goal keeper, Simplex Nithala and fans darling, Zicco Mkanda make the squad.
Another surprise inclusion to the side is striker, Chiukepo Msowoya who had been sidelined for a long time.
The international match will be played on the national day of Malawi to celebrate the central African nation’s independence day.
Meanwhile, Uganda started training on Friday at Vienna College school with 23 of the summoned 27 players reporting for duty.
Micho has already indicated the friendly match means a lot to the side preparing for the away CAF U-23 qualifier to Egypt.
