The Uganda boxing national team (The Bombers) is ready to represent the country in Nairobi, Kenya at the 2026 African boxing championship.

The contingent of 28, including 18 boxers, 3 coaches, 2 referees, and 5 officials, will be led by the Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Executive committee member and organising secretary Ibrahim Sekiziyivu.

The Bombers are currently engaged in vigorous training at Lugogo, Kampala.

They depart of to Kenya on the 15th October and will be expected to return by the 28th October 2026.

The team was boosted with an assortment of equipment from the Multi Sports centre, to supplement the Government support.

This is part of the two-year partnership signed and unveiled in Kampala.

The president Moses Muhangi represented the Uganda boxing federation while Ghulam Rabbani, the managing director, represented the Multi sports centre.
