- Mbarara City 1-0 Vipers
Entebbe UPPC and Maroons played to a goalless stalemate during Matchday 8 of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League on Wednesday, 28th October 2026.
In a game of limited goal-scoring opportunities created, both sides exhibited defensive discipline, maintaining the team structure and composition at all times.
Entebbe UPPC left back Thomas Ochungu had a thunderbolt that was well dealt with by goalkeeper Derrick Ochan in the first real threat for the home side after 12 minutes.
Six minutes later, the Printers’ goalkeeper Denis Otim jumped high to collect Emmanuel Obua’s cross from the left.
Maroons’ first attack came in the 28th minute when defender Derrick Basoga shot from inside the goal area, and the effort was tipped over for a corner kick by goalkeeper Otim.
On the hour mark, Entebbe UPPC’s winger Calvin Peter Emayu curled over a free-kick from 30 yards.

Maroons made a double change with seven minutes to play in the first half.
Dickson Niwamanya and Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula paved way for Ronald Orombi and Jackson Nunda, respectively as the opening stanza did not produce any goal.
Entebbe UPPC’s first change came five minutes into the second half as forward Ambrose Kigozi replaced a rather silent Steven Munguchi.

Maroons goalkeeper Derrick Ochan limped out, and his slot was taken over by Emmanuel Derrick Were on the hour mark.
Two minutes later, Maroons’ midfielder Abel Michael Eturude was cautioned for blocking goalkeeper Otim, who was orchestrating a quick counter-attack.
Kigozi shot narrowly wide before Entebbe UPPC’s second change on the evening in the 66th minute.
Forward Mustafa Anwar Ntege replaced Ibrahim Mugulusi.
Moments later, Emayo shot narrowly off-target from an acute angle on the right flank.
With twenty minutes to play, Kokolo shot over from 20 yards.
Julius Poloto replaced Emayo in Entebbe UPPC’s other change with less than 10 minutes on the clock.
Poloto straight away got involved in action with two crosses in a space of two minutes.

Late in the game, Ntege and Kigozi threatened, but substitute goalkeeper Were and the defenders remained calm and composed to earn at least a point.
This is Entebbe UPPC’s third draw in 8 games, which puts them on 15 points, in fourth place.
Maroons make it 11 points from 8 matches with their second draw in the 7th position on the 18-team log.
