African Renewal University overcame Muni University 2-0 during Group C of the 2026/27 Pepsi University Football League in Buloba on a slippery surface after heavy rains.
A goal in either half from Jimmy Bazanyi and Juma Kakaire spurred the African Renewal University to the treasured maximum points.
Bazanyi struck a penalty for the opener on the stroke of half time to give the hosts the lead.
Kakaire got the second goal towards the end of the game to seal the game with victory.
African Renewal University now leads the standings in Group C with 3 points and a goal difference from Gulu University who beat Ndejje University 1-0 earlier on.
