Day one of the sixth round of the National Rally Championship went down with appalling weather that pushed the race up to night hours, testing the skills of drivers at the Motorsports Arena, Busiika.
Ronald Sebuguzi shuffled through the wet circuit to register the fastest time of 11minutes,29seconds.
Sebuguzi goes into Day Two with an 18seconds lead over newly crowned National Rally Champion Arthur Blick Jnr.
Edson Mugyereza settled for third position overall.
Meanwhile, much anticipated drivers, Jas Mangat and Jon Consta did not make it to the start of the Rally.
Jas Mangat’s car suffered mechanical problems a day to the rally while Jon Consta was forced to withdraw on learning about the death of his close relative.
Crews will tomorrow head to Mukono to cover four stages of Lugazi, Walusibi, Nama and Nandagi which will be repeated twice.
