Ronald Sebuguzi registered his first rally win this year with a come from behind victory in the Independence Rally.
Sebuguzi went into day two with an 18 seconds lead over Arthur Blick Jnr as the pair battled well in the super special on Saturday.
That lead however quickly vanished in the opening stage in Lugazi on Sunday.
Sebuguzi suffered two punctures in the same stage losing as much as seven minutes to Blick.
Championship leader, Blick also suffered misfortunes of his own, breaking his suspension in the next stage that took him out of the rally.
Kuku Ranjeet then assumed the rally lead. He however had Sebuguzi breathing down his neck in every section.

Sebuguzi would gnaw seconds off Kuku’s time before snatching the win by 33 seconds in the final stage.
“It was such an interesting fight.We pushed ourselves to the limits. The difference was really big but its amazing how we have managed to claw but and win,” says Leon Ssenyange, Sebuguzi’s co-driver
“I must say Kuku drove well,” he added.
Second place in the rally was Kuku Ranjeet’s best finish so far this season.
Fred Busulwa was the surprise driver taking third.
Wcyliff Bukenya and Ashraf Ahmed finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Two-wheel class ushered in Ismail Waliggo as the 2015 champion.
Waligo benefited from his closest challenger Ismail Otega’s mechanical troubles that forced him out.
“I knew it was my year, so am not surprised that am the 2WD champion,” says Waliggo.
Out of 34 crews that started the rally, only 15 crews crossed the finish line.
The next event and the final one is scheduled for November 21st-22nd in Mbale district.
