Jas Mangat claimed victory in the season ending National Rally Championship in Jinja. 

With Joseph Kamya calling the notes, Mangat headed a string of fast drivers in what was a thrilling finale to the 2015 season. 

Driving a Mitsubishi EvoX, the Pili Pili crew who were three seconds behind after Day One won two of the six stages on Sunday to complete the 156.26km competitive distance in 1hr 35mins and 40secs.

“It was a good rally. We really enjoyed. Safety was excellent and routes well designed,” Mangat told Kawowo Sports. “Its always a good moment racing here. I credit this win to my whole  crew and the fans,” he added.

Victory on Sunday was Mangat’s first since the FMU sprint at Busiika in April. 

Ronald Sebuguzi came in second with Andrew Kananura and Musa Kabega finishing third and fourth respectively.

Only 18 of 33 crews completed the rally
