Sudan 4-0 Djibouti
The CECAFA 2015 senior challenge cup group stage matches continued on Friday evening in Ethiopia.
Group C action witnessed Sudan book a berth to the quarter finals following an easy 3-0 victory at the hands of horn of Africa nation, Djibouti.
Athar El Tahir was the day’s hero with a well taken hat-trick as Faris Abdalla Mamoun had the other goal on the day.
The first of Tahir’s goals came in the 15th minute. He then added the second a minute after the hour mark before he sealed the feat with a well drilled 81st minute effort.
Meanwhile, Mamoun’s goal, the second for the Falcons was scored in the 25th minute of the game.
Sudan finished third in group C with four points but are among the favorites to qualify for the quarters as ‘best losers’.
