Herman Wasswa has signed a deal that will see him return to KCCA FC Kawowo Sports has learnt.

The striker who left the club for KPL side Sofapaka FC after his contract expired in June last year is believed to have completed the move over the weekend although he wasn’t part of the duo unveiled on Sunday.

While unveiling Farouk Kawooya and Petit Wanok at Lugogo on, KCCA manager Mike Mutebi hinted that Wasswa was on the brink of returning to the club.

“At KCCA, we have a culture of welcoming former players back here,” he started. “In this regard, our former striker Herman Wasswa has been training with us since returning from Kenya where things never worked and very soon, he will be announced as another January acquisition,” he added.

Wasswa who scored 44 goals in his stint at KCCA between January 2013 and June 2015 joins Ceaser Okhuti, Wanok and Kawooya as the new signings for the club so far in the window.

“Like you saw, we struggled in front of goal in the first round. The reason our emphasis is replenishing the forward line,” revealed Mutebi.

It remains a mystery how long a period he has signed and when he will be officially unveiled but as usual, we shall keep you posted.
