Africa and Uganda’s number one Woodball lady player, Lillian Zawedde finished third to win a bronze medal at the 9th Thailand International Woodball Championship that concluded in Chiang Mai city on Sunday.

Zawedde finished with 204 strokes in 48 gates, the same score with Vietnam’s Can Thi Giaaict.

However, after the tie Zawedde was considered third basing on the principality that she had the least strokes played in each fairway.

She told Kawowo Sports of her ambition for the reminder of the year;

I want to maintain this kind of form for the remaining events on the local and international calendars. My target to be among the top three female Woodball players in the world by the end of 2016 business.

Zawedde is the best female Woodball player on the African scene, ranked 8th in the world.

Like many of the Uganda and world finest based players, Zawedde has now set her eyes on the forthcoming 4th Uganda woodball international open.
