Entebbe based Masavu clinched yet another victory over Fort Portal based Kasese New Villa in the FUFA Big league game at the Katabi Football Ground.
Musa Kayondo opened the score sheet in the 15th minute while Onesmus Andama sealed Masavu’s victory with a second goal in the 39th minute.
Masavu completed a double over Kasese New Villa having won 2-1 in Fort Portal last year during the first leg.
“We had a very good game though we missed a couple of chances that would have doubled our lead. We are now focusing our attention on Mbarara’s citizens FC whom shall be playing this Thursday in Mbarara in our second game in hand. It’s a tricky game but I’m confident we shall beat them” Masavu coach Shafik Bisaso said shortly after the match.
Masavu are second on the log with 32 points while Proline is top on the log with 42 points. Kirinya Jinja are third with 31 points.
