Africa Zone 4.2 Chess Championship:

Ten chess players from Uganda will represent the country at the upcoming Africa Zone 4.2 championship set to be held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
On form Fide Master (F.M) Harold Wanyama, fresh from the Kawuma Easter tourney triumph will lead five other male players – Haruna Nsubuga, Arthur Ssegwanyi, Patrick Kawuma and the veteran but ever fresh Bob Bibasa.
Woman Fide Master and law Clerk, Ivy Amoko, also the best lady at the Kawuma tournament will lead the female players.
The four other female players are; Phiona Mutesi, Joyce Kabengano, Christine Namaganda and Goretti Angolikin.
The successful players qualified from the recently held Kawuma tournament with the two overall winners (Wanyama and Amoko) entitled to free accommodation (full board) courtesy of the hosts throughout the duration of the event.
The other four players in each category will have accomodation and upkeep costs to contend with. The official invitation from the hosts indicates the figure as 60 Euros per day covering all the three meals and accomodation.
Uganda hosted and won the 2015 Africa Zone 4.2 Chess championship in Kampala.
