An unnamed Qatar-based club has started tracking Uganda Cranes’ striker Geoffrey Massa after falling out of favour at South African club, Bloemfontein Celtic.
Massa who has featured 14 times overall this season, scoring only twice, is said to have been approached by the Middle Eastern club.
According to a source that spoke to African Football, the skipper moods have deteriorated since joining the team; “Massa is frustrated by his lack of game time in Bloemfontein.”
Golden Arrows and University of Pretoria are the other clubs interested in Massa and are both monitoring the player’s progress with hopes of signing him.
Massa began his career in 2004 with Police FC, moved to Egypt side Al Masry. In 2008 he moved to South African club Jomo Cosmos. He returned to Egypt to play for Itesalat.
In 21 August 2013, he signed a deal with the South African side University of Pretoria but left for Bloemfontein Celtic in the middle of last year. He has been there since.
