SC Villa Vs SC Victoria University – Nakivubo, 4:30 pm
For the first time in a fortnight, SC Villa return to league action keen on earning their first win in six games.
The record league winners are fresh from a 7-0 humiliation at the hands of Morocco’s FUS Rabat in the CAF Confederations Cup and Coach Ibrahim Kirya has urged his boys to move on and fight for domestic glory.
“The loss in Morocco is now behind us,” he told Kawowo Sports. “All attention now turns to the domestic competition starting with the league game against SC Victoria University,” he added.
The Jogoos have drawn their previous five games and have only scored twice with their last triumph coming in December against arch rivals Express.
SC Villa will draw inspiration from the first round 2-1 win at Namboole with goals Ambrose Kirya and Martin Kizza. In addition, SC VU’s performance is worse in the previous five games as they have lost all and conceded a record 19 goals.
The hosts who have five games in hand over log leaders KCCA are 12th on the standings with 27 points while SCVU are second from bottom on the 16 team table with eight points adrift.
