Ndejje Elites’ coach Johnson Kawenyera has downplayed any kind of intimidation in his camp ahead of the 26th edition of the African Women Club Championship that volleys of on Friday in Tunisia.

There is no question that we are in a tough pool but the girls have already settled in and they should be able to face any kind of challenge. I can’t promise anything right now, all I can say we shall approach each game like it is our last.
In Rwanda Revenue Authority, Ndejje Elites face a Rwandan side that has never lost to a Ugandan team. Actually on two occasion RRA has come to Uganda, they have defeated all local teams to win the NSSF-KAVC International, last year defeating Ndejje in the finals.
Carthage were fourth in 2014 and third last year will be Ndejje’s first opponents on Friday while little is known about Mechaal Bejaja, but that doesn’t mean Ndejje will find them easy to beat.
Referring to Kurtha kagoya, Joan Tushemeirewe, Sharon Amito, Emma Mwangi and Veroline Aanyu, Kawehyera said;
We should be able to learn a thing or two in every game we play, five of them are here for the first time, this stage is going to be an eye opener, they won’t return the same
The group of death is without a doubt Pool B that has holders and six time winners Al Ahly (Egypt), Sfaxien (Tunisia), Wilaya Bejaja (Algeria) and Bafia (Cameroon).
Record champions Pipeline (Kenya) who are searching for title number eight and their first since 2005 are pooled alongside, FAP (Cameroon), Sonatrach (Algeria), and Police (Ghana) in Group C.
After finishing fourth last year, El Shams (Egypt) will be aiming at going a notch higher but they have five time winners Prisons (Kenya), Ndella (Gambia), Jos (Nigeria), INJS (Cameroon) to deal with.
Since 2001, a Kenyan team has played in the final, on three occasions it has been an all Kenyan final, with Prisons and Pipeline at the championship, the fairytale might just continue.
