At 32 years, Ivan Byekwaso is already the best bodybuilder under the sun after he won the INBA World Mr Natural Universe fitness title in September 2015.
In the same year the former Mr Uganda lifted the Natural Olympia title in November, those two international awards didn’t go unnoticed.
In both months, Byekwaso won the Nile Special USPA Sports Personality for the month titles and he is nominated for the biggest sports honor in the land, the Nile Special Sports Personality for the year 2015.

Byekwaso told Kawowo Sports ahead of the Awards night this Friday at Serena Hotel where he is nominated alongside golfer Ronald Otile and netball player Racheal Nanyonga.
All three athletes will be recipients of the Nile Special Bodybuilder, Male Golf Player and Netball Players of the Year Awards.
It’s not all rosy though for Byekwaso who has to start defending those titles soon, he desperately needs $13000 (Shs43m) to defend his world title in Budapest, Hungary but sees no signs of hope.
Right now I’m preparing for the World Championships and I’m looking for $13000 to see me through the tournament. Coach Lorenzo (Gaspar) says he is proud to have coached a winning brand and he can’t afford to see me track back. He wants to see me there in mid-May a month before the tournament in June.
And just like he has always done, Byekwaso won’t sop asking for help.
So I’m appealing to every concerned to come and support me through this endeavor. Ugandan because this is no longer just about Byekwaso, it’s about Uganda as always, I will never disappoint you
Byekwaso’s tight fixture this year includes the World Championships (Budapest, Hungary); Mr Universe (Texas, USA); European Championships, (Prague, Czech Republic), World Cup and Natural Olympia (Las Vegas, USA).
