FIFA President Gianni Infantino has revealed plans to have North Korea face South Korea in a friendly football match.
The suggestion follows hostilities and threats that have hovered over the two countries including a spate of military posturing from Pyongyang and Seoul.
In his meeting with South Korean football association he outlined his plan which was widely appreciated.
Pres. Infantino in Seoul said: “Let’s use the power of football to bring people from South Korea & North Korea closer.”
“We should bring everyone together around a football pitch… I’m ready to help and assist in whatever way is necessary.
“Sometimes imagination can come true. Sometimes dreams can come true. These things can become a reality.”
