As Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club officially embarks on their 2016/17 pre-season training on Monday, 4th July 2016, one of the fresh players expected is the swift and fast left footed dribbler Yunus Luwaga.
Formerly at Ndejje University, Lweza and lately Water football clubs, Luwaga envisages the presented opportunity as one of the life time.
Such opportunities are rare.
I have personally prepared myself to play to the best of abilities during the trial stint so that the technical team consider my talent.
Luwaga is among the numerous players lined up for the tax collectors’ technical team that comprises of Kefa Kisala (head coach), Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, the assistant and a couple of other personalities.
Key of Luwaga’s abilities given his diminutive structure is the quick reaction off the blocks, trickery skills and pin pointed crosses for the opposition defenders.
URA’s early preparations are targeted to get the right players who will serve the demanding club at a time they are bound to let close to eight players depart the Homesdallen – Gayaza based club who host their home games at the Mehta stadium in Lugazi town.
Troubled striker Robert Sentongo, Derrick Tekkwo, goalkeepers Sulait Luyima and Brian ‘Ziggi’ Bwete are some of the players confirmed out of the club.
