Yunus Sentamu and his Ilves teammates left the Omasp stadium in Seinajok dejected following a 4-0 loss to the home side in the Finnish Veikkausliiga.
A man of the match performance from Roope Riski witnessed the center forward score a hat-trick with goals coming in the 8th, 30th and third minute of added time.
Jussi Vasara’s 59th strike had earlier made it 3-0 after the opening 45 minutes had ended 2-0.
The Uganda Cranes striker, who started and featured for 90 minutes in the game says they will quickly recover ahead of Wednesday’s home game against Rops in Tampere.
We failed to find the footing but I hope and believe we shall recover perfectly ahead of the home game on the 24th August 2016
This was perfect revenge from Seinajok since Ilves had won the previous two games against the same opposition.
In late April, Seinäjoki lost 2-0 thanks to goals from Lahtinen and Emile Paul Tendengin.
Then in early July, Ilves won 2-1 in Tammela, Lauri Ala – Myllymäki and Tuure Siira scored the goals.
Focus for Sentamu and Ilves turns to the home game against an unpredictable Rops at their Tammalassa arena in Tampere city.
