Bright Stars 2-1 BUL

Baker Lukooya and John Kokas Opejo were on target for Bright Stars in the club’s 2-1 home victory past Bul on Tuesday.

Lukooya’s opener after seven minutes was a strike underlying individual quality with a well timed volley.

It took Bul over an hour to find rhythm before finding the equalizer through Titus Tibiita.

Opejo rescued the home side with the winner through a well struck free-kick on the 86th minute mark to spark wild celebrations from the technical bench and a handful of passionate fans at their Champions Stadium arena in Mwererwe.

Bul had three players booked for unsporting play – Paul Kisige, Deogratious Othieno and Titus Lubega.

Left back Hakim Mugerwa was the only Bright Stars player cautioned.

Bright Stars accumulates 13 points and climbs to 5th place on the 16 team log.

On the other hand, BUL is condemned to their 4th loss of the campaign and lie 3rd from bottom in the relegation zone.
