KCCA midfielder Isaac Kirabira says he won’t have any favours if selected as the Kasasiro take on SC Villa at Lugogo on Tuesday.
The diminutive central midfielder spent 7 years at Villa Park, where he started his career and skippered the side to the 2015 Uganda Cup when they beat KCCA 3-0 at Namboole in the finals.
Ahead of the all-important league clash, Kirabira says he has no emotions and all he wants is help his new paymasters win the derby.
“Playing against a team where I grew up doesn’t make me emotional at all,” he said in a press briefing. “While at Villa, I wanted to beat KCCA and now that am here, I want to beat SC Villa.
As a person, am winner and now KCCA are my paymasters,” he added.
Meanwhile, it won’t be Kirabira alone facing a side he played for and cherished for years, Robert Ssentongo, Ronald Musana, Paul Musamali, Denis Okot, Isaac Muleme, Hakim Ssenkumba, Benjamin Ochan and Lawrence Kasadha have all been at Villa Park before.
Add coaches Mike Mutebi, Badru Kaddu and Nelly Magera as well to the list.
